1. Robust Construction & Components
Our head-type thermocouples are designed with modularity and durability in mind.

The core construction features several key components to ensure reliable measurement and easy maintenance:

2. Measuring Junction Types

The measuring hot junction is the point where the thermoelectric wires are joined together. This section constitutes the actual temperature sensor, which can be manufactured in various configurations. The outer sheath is sealed by welding, and the weld seam is meticulously inspected to ensure leak-tightness.
Depending on your process requirements, we offer two main junction configurations, both insulated with Magnesium oxide (MgO) within a metal sheath:

Ungrounded Thermocouple (Type I): The hot junction is isolated from the metal sheath. This provides excellent electrical insulation and prevents ground loops.
- Grounded Thermocouple (Type G): The hot junction is welded directly to the inside of the metal sheath. This offers a faster response time to temperature changes.

4. Electrical Connection of Terminal Blocks

5. Mounting Methods

Proper installation is essential for accurate temperature reading and sensor longevity. Our thermocouples support various pipeline installation configurations to suit your process geometry:

Pipeline installation 90°: Standard perpendicular mounting for optimal immersion in standard pipes.

Pipeline installation 45°: Angled mounting, ideal for smaller pipe diameters to increase the immersion length of the sensor tip into the fluid medium.
